I made this skirt last weekend while sewing at a friends house. We set up outside on the veranda since it was so hot which made for perfect sewing conditions and I was super productive.
I got this fabric a little while ago from Ikea, to me it looks like buildings in an Esher kind of way which suits me since I work in the construction industry 🙂
The patterns in from Stitch magazine which I bought online and I think it really suits the fabric. I wanted to use yellow for the contrast facing but the yellows at my local shop just weren’t quite the right tone. Picky I know but now I’m really glad I went for blue.
This pattern is super quick and a pretty good fit (I just took in the waist quite a bit but if I make it again I’ll stick some darts in the back instead)
