While living in Perth, I got back into sewing in mid-2008 after my Mum bought my Elna 2130 over from NZ inside her suitcase. After about 6 months I decided I needed an overlocker and started my research.
I was lucky to receive some cash as part of the Australian Government Economic Stimulus Package and since they encouraged us to spend it, I did, on a Bernina 1150MDA.
I chose this machine being the best I could afford and with had features I could “grow into”. I still consider it my second best sewing purchase after the Elna 2130. An overlocker takes your sewing to a whole new level – I have never looked back.
